The most dangerous occupation in the UK is agriculture. In 2022/23, 27 people were killed as a result of farming and agricultural related activities. This is down compared to the 5 year average of 31. There were many more serious injuries.

Falling from ladders is one of the largest causes of deaths and serious injuries in the workplace. Similarly, falling through roofs whilst carrying out repairs.

Assault includes all manner of serious crimes including actual bodily harm, grievous bodily harm and wounding with intent. After the perpetrator has been convicted of the crime, many people who have been assaulted simply walk away and hope it does not happen again. Compensation, however, can often be available, for those that want it.
